I joined the company in September 2019 as the Office Manager. Right after the holidays, I started obsessing about what seed shipping would look like, since I wasn’t a part of it last year and so much had changed since then. We had hundreds of orders by early 2020, and March 30 was the release date.
I sent an email to Seth and Eric and our amazing sales team that included the line:
“My goal is that our reputation be upheld by getting the right seeds to the right people in the right way at the right time. In other words, 100% accuracy, quality, and timeliness.”
100% is a tough number to shoot for. But after seeing how hard every single person at Oregon CBD works to make the absolute best seeds possible, and knowing how hard growers work, how much they pay for our seeds, and how much is riding on a successful harvest, I didn’t want to let anybody down.
So I asked a bunch of questions and bought a bunch of supplies and started getting everything in place for the big March 30 ship…and then coronavirus hit.
On March 17, a Tuesday, Eric said, “People are getting nervous. We want to start shipping on the 23rd.”
I said, “Wait…this coming Monday? … OK. I’m gonna need a lot of help.”
Sure, there have been a few mistakes; we’re all human. But everyone involved has that 100% goal in front of them all the time, and I’m so proud that we’ve gotten so many of those beautiful little seeds to so many awesome people! When they post or send pictures of their seeds to show their appreciation and excitement, that’s just the best! I hope everyone has an incredible season.
